Lakers guard Dennis Schroder received his second technical after Warriors forward Draymond Green put the ball in his face Friday night in Los Angeles.
Warriors forward Draymond Green somehow got Lakers guard Dennis Schroder ejected from Friday’s game with some questionable antics.
With 6:22 left in the third quarter of Game 6, LeBron James tossed an alley-oop to Anthony Davis. The Warriors tried to get the ball back in quickly but turned it over to Davis. Green immediately fouled the Lakers big man to prevent the basket.
When officials called the foul, Schroder went straight to Green and, at the very least, yelled at the Golden State veteran. Green put the ball up and pressed it against the Los Angeles guard’s face as Schroder continued to talk trash. Officials then called double technical fouls, and Schroder was ejected because he had a technical from an earlier incident with Green.
Schroder’s first tech was for taunting Green in the first half after he fouled the Warriors player. Even though Green shoved Schroder with his forearm, only the Lakers guard was punished.
The Lakers still ended the third quarter with a comfortable 91-77 lead after Schroder was tossed. Before he was ejected, Schroder had just 3 points on 1-of-6 shooting but was plus-16 in 25 minutes for Los Angeles. He was replaced by guard Lonnie Walker IV.
