Warmer 70s and breezy for Monday
Good Monday #GoodMonday
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – Good Monday morning. We have fair skies overhead and mild morning temperatures starting in the 50s, a light jacket will probably be a good idea when heading out the door to work and school.
Today will start off mostly sunny with a steady southwesterly breeze occasionally gusting over 20 miles per hour. Cloud cover will increase by the afternoon with warm high temperatures in the upper 60s to lower 70s. Skies stay mostly cloudy with breezy south winds sticking around overnight, this will keep things very warm for Tuesday morning as we will be waking up near 60 degrees. Tuesday will be generally cloudy and blustery, with wind gusts exceeding 30 miles per hour. Expect some light scattered rainfall on Tuesday with warm high temperatures in the middle 70s.
Wednesday morning will bring in a narrow line of heavy rainfall and some embedded thunderstorms along a cold front. This will be a fast-moving line of storms that can produce some stronger wind gusts and frequent lightning. Rain and storms will end by the afternoon and temperatures will plummet into Wednesday evening, a few flurries may even be possible.
The end of the week will be much cooler with highs staying below average in the 50s for Thursday and Friday. Scattered showers will be expected to end the week on Friday.
