WandaVision’s production designer Mark Worthington has teased there’ll be some”wonderful” Easter eggs in the remaining episodes of the Disney+ series.

The Marvel spin-off show has already dropped some not-so-subtle references to Stark Industries and Hydra in some of its old school sitcom commercials, while more astute viewers may have even noticed a nod to Bova the cow.

Now, as we approach the end of the first season, Worthington has promised that even bigger Easter eggs are on their way.

Speaking exclusively to Digital Spy, he said:”Let me put it this way: there are wonderful Easter eggs coming up, but if I were to say what they were, Marvel has someone with a blow dart waiting to take me out. Seriously, it is a big deal – with all of these. I really can’t.”

Asked how the show decides on which Easter eggs to include, he explained:”Part of that’s the writers. Some of it’s in the writing, and you get it on the page. Some of it we come up with.

“A lot of it you come up with as you go along. If you’re designing, it’s on the page, and then we have to respond; Matt [Shakman, director] and I have to respond with, you know, his directorial take, my visual take, and Jess Hall, the cinematographer.”

He continued:”Together, as we get further into the MCU and read more, then you start placing them. It’s actually a sort of organic process. As you begin to see the visual research – it’s like,’Oh, we can put something over here. This would be great.’

“It’s what Jac Schaeffer [creator] put into it, and her writers, and our reaction to the project.”

WandaVision airs weekly every Friday on Disney+.
