Volunteer workday set at Bayside Park Farm

A “Drop-In Volunteer Workday” is set for Thursday from 1 to 4 p.m. at Bayside Park Farm, 930 Old Arcata Road, Arcata. Registration begins at 12:45 p.m.

Projects may include planting, weeding and harvesting. No experience is necessary and families are welcome. Appropriate attire would be closed-toe shoes, long pants and sleeves and a sunhat. Bring a water bottle and snacks, too. (Pack out your trash and recyclables.)

The farm welcomes people of all ages and abilities, but pets should stay home. COVID-19 protocols must be followed when visiting Bayside Park Farm.

Drop-in volunteering is for individuals, families or friends in groups of five or fewer. If you will be showing up as a large group to volunteer, call 707-822-8184 to ensure extra staff is on hand at the farm.
