Volunteer firefighters battling forest fire in Anderson County

Volunteer firefighters are continuing to battle a forest fire in the Briceville/Walden’s Ridge area of Anderson County on Saturday night.
The fire is still not contained, Shain Vowell of the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office told The Oak Ridger via text around 9 p.m. He said personnel with the Tennessee Forestry Divison were en route and both the Medford and Briceville volunteer fire departments are on the scene.

No one has been injured at this time and there has been no loss of personal property, he said.
