Vivek Ramaswamy’s list of media-spread misinformation intended to damage Republicans

Vivek #Vivek

Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy has shown to be a political firebrand. He is assertive, aggressive, and arguably the kind of politician needed to fight back against the Left’s cultural attacks on the country. This is doubly true given the Left’s assistance by the daily messaging from the legacy media. It shows their willingness to spread messaging to influence the public, manipulate public opinion, and advance agenda-driven, left-wing narratives.

Last week, on X, formerly Twitter, Ramaswamy listed many of the untruthful, deceptive, and conniving media headlines in years. All were meant to rile up public opinion against conservatives and Republicans.

First, Ramaswamy mentioned arguably the most popular and damaging ruse, the infamous Russian collusion media narrative. It is perhaps the most preeminent example of the media’s cooperation in spreading misinformation. It was a baseless accusation that hampered former President Donald Trump for most of his presidency.

Next, Ramaswamy also brought up the Hunter Biden laptop story. As many recall, this was a story initially denied by many prominent political figures, including 51 former intelligence officials who claimed the story was untrue and “the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation.” By now, we know the experts were either grossly incompetent or engaged in their misinformation operation to try to influence voters and interfere with the way people voted. Several years later, none of these intelligence experts were ever held accountable. They are still given publicity and airtime and have their analyses and opinions sought after by media pundits.

Ramaswamy mentioned other hoaxes, distortions, or manipulations that, when initially reported, created much outrage and resentment throughout the nation, only to be determined to be untrue after all the facts of what truly happened were revealed. It included incidents such as Bubba Wallace, Jussie Smollett, Covington Catholic Kids, Gretchen Whitmer kidnapping plot, COVID Lab leak was a “conspiracy theory,” Steele dossier, Don’t Say Gay was in the bill, Migrant “kids In cages,” Georgia election integrity was the new “Jim crow,” and “Peaceful” BLM riots, among others.

“The MSM spits in the face of *the people* every single day with ad nauseam (sic) and flagrant lies,” Ramaswamy posted. “And you think the 2024 election is any different? Open your eyes & see the trap they’re walking us into right now.”

Even though these erroneous stories and misinformation propaganda happened years ago, the damage they caused must never be forgotten. They exemplify how the dishonest media hijacks news stories to influence the public’s thoughts and perceptions. All of it is akin to the Left’s long history of propagandizing news to advance political agendas. Much of the nation’s newscasts today resemble the Soviet Union’s notorious “Pravda” newspaper more than legitimate news sources.

We must not forget that and the damage they cause to the country. That was the impetus for Ramaswamy’s post.

Despite being exposed for spreading misinformation, the mainstream media was never held accountable. They ignored any fallout and moved on to the next faux-outrage-generated controversy. And, with the 2024 presidential election on the horizon, only a fool would think such atrocious manipulations are not going to be repeated by the Left’s accomplices in the media.

Ramaswamy deserves accolades for pointing this out.

Gone are the days in which Republicans can sit back and think no one is going to believe the Left’s hyperbolic hysteria. Ramaswamy knows an ideological war of (mis)information is on the horizon; he is warning us to prepare. It is just one of many reasons an assertive voice like his is needed in the GOP.
