The commercial flight launched a short time ago is currently being carried by a carrier plane, known as Eve.
In a short time, the carrier plane will separate from the VSS Unity, which will then carry passengers up to around 280,000ft (85km), before returning home.
Travellers will enjoy around five minutes at the edge of space, where they will experience weightlessness and enjoy spectacular views.
