Live Updates Fourth Quarter

Falcons 33, Vikings 7

7:07: Another field goal for the Falcons. The Vikings have basically bailed on this game, punting multiple times in the second half.

Third Quarter

Falcons 30, Vikings 7

2:01: There will be no such comeback for the Vikings. Matt Ryan finds Julio Jones on a wild 4th down conversion and he scampers for 40 yards and a touchdown.

Falcons 23, Vikings 7

6:25: The Vikings won’t be shut out, at least. A huge drive for rookie Justin Jefferson culminates in a touchdown catch, the second of his career. The Vikings are going to need to play much better on defense if they want to mount a comeback.

Falcons 23, Vikings 0

10:45: Falcons get another field goal to start the second half.

Second Quarter

Falcons 20, Vikings 0

0:05: Falcons end the first half with a field goal after Cousins’ third interception of the first half. Unbelievably bad performance at home against a winless team.

Falcons 17, Vikings 0

1:54: Falcons go up 17-0 on a touchdown pass from Matt Ryan to Calvin Ridley. This one is getting out of hand. Vikings badly need a touchdown with Atlanta set to get the ball back to start the second half.

5:46: Kirk Cousins intercepted again. This is an absolute disaster for the Vikings’ offense. Falcons take over at the Vikings’ 40.

11:41: The Vikings’ offensive woes continue. They get a big takeaway with a Jeff Gladney forced fumble and drive down to the Falcons’ 2 yard-line, but then fail to punch it in on four plays. A turnover on downs.

First Quarter

Falcons 10, Vikings 0

3:02: After a Vikings three and out, the Falcons moved the ball methodically down the field but oddly tried for a run on third and seven. They settle for a 50-yard field goal, which kickers never miss against the Vikings.

Falcons 7, Vikings 0

12:02: Well, this one could’ve started a lot better for the Vikings. Kirk Cousins threw an interception to Deion Jones on the team’s first offensive play, and the Falcons scored on a 20-yard Julio Jones touchdown shortly afterwards. Not great, Bob!
