An old clip of Stacey Solomon on Loose Women saying she ‘didn’t get’ the royal family is going viral three years after it aired.
Back in 2018, panellists Christine Lampard, Linda Robson, Jane Moore, and Stacey were on the afternoon talk show discussing how Meghan Markle could help modernise the monarchy.
A clip of Stacey questioning their relevancy during this appearance has been a hit on TikTok and has now made its way to Twitter, where it’s currently trending.
‘We’re obsessed with these humans who are exactly the same [as us], it could be us four sitting there, I just don’t get it,’ the singer explained.
Jane said she thought the family were ‘becoming like celebrities,’ but she added that ‘the Queen is brilliant’, using the words ‘duty, responsibility’ and ‘figurehead’ to describe her.

‘I love the Queen, and she’s always worked really hard,’ Linda, interjected.
Stacey continued: ‘But I would work hard if the whole country paid for me to have, like, 12 houses.’
Jane then asked the star that if the royal family were ‘just like us’, why would they need all that ‘faff’.
‘People are thinking that already even without them things. I’m already thinking, you know, it’s freezing cold outside and people are homeless and these people have houses to spare,’ she responded.
‘It does sometimes become a little bit frustrating because I don’t see the purpose of all of this money going to that entire family.’
Stacey’s response was met with applause from the live studio audience.
It seems that Twitter users agree with Stacey as well, with multiple people sharing their opinion on the clip.

‘Every day I fall a lil more in love with Stacey Solomon. The way she speaks up about how unnecessary the royal family are is incredibly brave! Plus she’s absolutely right,’ one person wrote.
‘Stacey Solomon is going to lead the revolution and I’m going to be right behind her,’ another Twitter user posted.
Someone said that this clip resurfacing now moved Stacey up to ‘platinum tier’.
Since Stacey’s comments from 2018, Meghan and Prince Harry have given up their royal duties and started a new life in the United States following a turbulent time with the royal family and the media.
In a bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey in March, Meghan revealed a senior member of ‘the firm’ was concerned about the colour of her baby Archie’s skin.
