The difficulties imposed by the degradation of the Ferrari’s tires caused Charles Leclerc to experience a great deal of sacrifice at the end of the Japanese Grand Prix.

The fight against Sergio Perez (Red Bull) for second place, in a shorter and more contested race in the rain, led the Monegasque driver from the Maranello team to leave the track on the final lap, with Leclerc returning to the track without giving up the position to his opponent.

In the end, Charles Leclerc was penalized in 5 seconds by the sports stewards, falling to third place in the classification, in exchange for Perez, who finished the Japanese Grand Prix in the middle of the podium.
