Victorians ‘don’t stand a chance’ this winter with the ‘clowns’ in government: Credlin

Victorians “don’t stand a chance” this winter with the “clowns” in charge of the state, according to Sky News host Peta Credlin. It comes as an outbreak in Melbourne’s north is leaving five million Melburnians “on tenterhooks” yet again. Restrictions are now in place to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 after a further five cases of community transmission were recorded. “18 months on from the release of this virus out of Wuhan, we cannot continue to live these stop-start lives,” Ms Credlin said. “But we also shouldn’t have to tolerate a government that is so monumentally incapable of governing, as the Andrews regime in Victoria. “The latest example of epic ineptitude is the government last week naming the wrong supermarket as a potential exposure site. It meant over the weekend, thousands of people were scrambling, testing and self-isolating, but of course by then, the damage is done.” Ms Credlin said “don’t get too smug” if you live outside of Victoria given what goes wrong in Melbourne “has ramifications for the rest of the country”. “As things stand, periodic upheavals when governments react, and overreact, to every outbreak of COVID look like continuing indefinitely,” she said. “With winter on our doorstep and the village idiots in charge of Victoria, I’m sad to say this is where we are headed, unless of course the vaccination program is speeded up and tweaked.”
