Veterans Day 2023 is Saturday, Nov. 11, and many restaurants are celebrating.
Here is a round-up of freebies and deals restaurants are offering on Saturday, Nov. 11 for current or retired military personnel, according to Military.com, The Military Wallet, Veteran.com and the chains themselves.
Note: Most restaurants require a military ID or proof of service to receive the deals. It is best to call ahead to check with each individual store for their policies.
7-Eleven: Veterans can get a free Quarter-Pound Big Bite 100% All-Beef Hot Dog Nov. 11 using the 7NOW app. The deal is valid for in-store or delivery orders.
Applebee’s: Active duty military, veterans, reserves and members of the National Guard get a free meal from a special menu on Nov. 11. Military guests will also receive a $5 Bounce Back card to redeem within three weeks on dine-in, to-go or delivery orders.
Au Bon Pain: Veterans and active duty military can get a free breakfast sandwich and small drip coffee Nov. 11. They must mention the offer and show a valid military ID.
Bar Louie: Active duty military and veterans must show a valid military ID to get a free craft burger when dining in on Nov. 11.
BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse: Current and former military with valid military ID who dine-in can get a free Chocolate Chunk Pizookie with any purchase of $9.95 or more. Plus, veterans who spend more than $14.95 for dine-in or take-out can get a bounce back coupon for a free appetizer valid between Nov. 12 and Dec. 31, 2023.
Bob Evans: Veterans and active-duty military can enjoy a free special menu on Saturday, Nov. 11. The offer is valid for dine-in only.
Bonefish Grill: Veterans and active-duty service members can get a free order of Bang Bang Shrimp with a soft drink on Nov. 11 with valid ID. Veterans, service members and first responders can also get a 10% off Heroes Discount on meals year round.
Boston Market: Veterans, service members and their families can get a buy one, get one free deal on individual meal orders with drinks. No ID is necessary for this offer, but a coupon is required, which you can find on BostonMarket.com.
Buffalo Wild Wings: Veterans and active-duty military can get a free order of 10 boneless wings and fries on Nov. 11 after showing valid proof of service.
California Pizza Kitchen: Veterans and active-duty military can get a free entreé from a prix-fixe menu and non-alcoholic beverage when dining in. Must come in uniform or present a valid military ID to receive the deal. The free entreé can include a choice of pizza, salads and pasta from a special Veterans Day menu.
Carrabba’s: Veterans and active-duty military can get a complimentary dine-in appetizer or a dessert with soft drink on Nov. 11. You must show valid ID for this promotion. Service members and first responders can also get 10% off their checks at Carrabba’s year round.
Charley’s Philly Steaks: Veterans and active-duty military get free gourmet fries in-store with no purchase necessary on Nov. 11. All Charley’s locations on military bases are also offering free gourmet fries with the purchase of a cheesesteak and a soft drink.
Charlie Brown’s: Veterans and active-duty service members can order a meal on Veterans Day for free after showing valid ID.
Chick-fil-A: Chick-fil-A may offer special discounts to military veterans, but they can vary by location. Check with your local restaurant to see if it offers military discounts on Veterans Day.
Chili’s: Veterans and active-duty service members can get a free meal from a special menu on Nov. 11. The deal is valid for dine-in only. Spouses and dependents may also be eligible depending on the location.
Cracker Barrel: Veterans can get a free slice of Double Chocolate Fudge Coca-Cola Cake with an in-store or online purchase.
Dave & Buster’s: Veterans can get a free entreé up to $20 and a free $10 Power Card on Nov. 11. You must show valid ID.
Denny’s: All active, inactive and retired military can get a free Build Your Own Grand Slam breakfast from 5 a.m. to noon with valid military ID on Nov. 11.
Dickey’s Barbecue Pit: Veterans and active-duty military get a free pulled pork sandwich on Nov. 11. The offer is valid for carryout and in-store purchases.
Dunkin’: Veterans and active duty members get a free doughnut on Nov. 11.
Einstein Bros. Bagels: Veterans and active-duty military get a free any-sized hot or iced coffee in-store on Nov. 11 with a purchase.
Famous Dave’s: Veterans and active-duty military get a free Lunch Georgia Chopped Pork Sandwich and any side on Nov. 11. Use promo code VETERAN for online orders to receive the deal. You must present proof of service when picking up orders. The offer is not valid for delivery or call-in orders.
Fogo de Chao: Active-duty military and veterans can get 50% off their meals while up to three guests dining with them can get 10% off their meals on Veterans Day.
Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers: Veterans and active duty military can get a free Freddy’s Original Double with Cheese combo meal card they can redeem through Nov. 30.
Friendly’s: Veterans can get a free All-American Cheeseburger, fries and a drink on Nov. 11 between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. They must show valid ID to receive the offer.
Hard Rock Cafe: Veterans can get a 15% discount on food, non-alcoholic beverages and merchandise with valid military ID.
Hooters: Veterans and active-duty military can get a free meal from the Veterans Day menu with a purchase of a beverage when they dine in on Nov. 11.
Huddle House: Active-duty military and veterans can get a free MVP breakfast platter on Nov. 11.
IHOP: Active-duty military and veterans can get free Red, White & Blueberry Pancakes at select locations Nov. 11 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. when they dine in.
IKEA: The furniture store offers veterans a free meal at select locations from Nov. 10-12 with a valid ID. Active duty service members, veterans and their spouses also get 15% off home goods and furniture up to $3,000 from Nov. 10-22.
Kona Grill: Active-duty military and veterans can get 50% off the entire menu at Kona Grill from Nov. 10-13. The discount is only available to active-duty military and veterans with proof of military ID.
Krispy Kreme: Veterans can get a free coffee and doughnut at select Krispy Kreme locations on Nov. 11. No purchase or proof of service is necessary for this deal.
Little Caesars: Veterans and active-duty members can get a free HOT-N-READY Lunch Combo with four slices of pizza and a 20-ounce Pepsi product on Veterans Day. An ID is needed to receive the offer.
LongHorn SteakHouse: Veterans can get 10% off of their meal on Veterans Day.
Mission BBQ: Veterans get a free sandwich on Veterans Day.
Olive Garden: Get a free entreé from the special Veterans Day menu for veterans and active-duty military members. Diners must show a valid military ID to get the free entreé.
Outback Steakhouse: Veterans, active-duty members and their spouses can get a free Bloomin’ Onion and any Coca-Cola product on Nov. 11 only when they dine in. Plus, Outback offers a 10% Heroes Discount to military members, veterans and first responders with valid ID year round.
On The Border: Retired, active-duty military and veterans can get a free pick-two combo meal on Veterans Day.
Perkins: Veterans and active-duty military can get a free Magnificent Seven Meal with valid ID at select Perkins locations.
Pilot Flying J: Veterans can get a free meal at select locations Nov. 10-12 through a special offer in the store’s app.
Playa Bowls: Veterans can get a free bowl at select locations on Nov. 11 when they show their military ID. The offer is valid in-store only.
Red Lobster: Veterans, active-duty military and reservists can get free printed meal vouchers for Veterans Shrimp & Chips from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. local time on Nov. 11. Valid military ID or proof of service is required to get the voucher, which you can redeem from Nov. 13 through Dec. 10 , 2023, for dine-in only.
Red Robin: Veterans and active-duty military can get a free Red’s Tavern Double with free refills of Bottomless Steak Fries. The offer is valid for dine-in only on Nov. 11.
Rosa Mexicano: Veterans and active-duty military get a free entree on Nov. 11.
Ruby Tuesday: Active, retired military and veterans can get a free garden bar if they show proof of service.
Smashburger: Those who show a valid military ID can get a free Double Classic Smash Burger in-store at select locations on Nov. 11.
Smoothie King: Active-duty military and veterans can receive a free 20-ounce red, white or blue smoothie at participating locations. You must show valid military ID to receive the offer.
Starbucks: Veterans, active-duty service members and their spouses can get a free 12-ounce tall hot, iced or cold brew coffee on Nov. 11.
TCBY: Veterans and other military personnel can get 6 ounces of frozen yogurt for free at select locations.
Texas Roadhouse: Those who show proof of service can receive meal vouchers to redeem for one of 10 entreés, two sides and a non-alcoholic beverage on Nov. 11 between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
TGI Fridays: Veterans and active-duty military get a free lunch on Nov. 11 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. from a special menu when they dine in. Must show valid ID or proof of service when dining, and the offer is valid at select locations, so check your local restaurant before dining.
Wendy’s: Active-duty military and veterans get a free breakfast combo Nov. 11 at select locations from 6:30-10:30 a.m. They must show proof of service to get the deal.
White Castle: Veterans and active-duty military get a free Combo Meal or Breakfast Combo Meal at select restaurants on Nov. 11 when dining in.
Yard House: Active-duty military and veterans can get a free appetizer.
