USC emoji math update: Trojans still have one commitment to announce

It’s a sign of the times. We continue to provide updates not just on USC football recruiting, but specifically on the number of emojis Lincoln Riley has tweeted, and how they match up with revealed commitments.
You might recall that on Tuesday, Riley tweeted out the Fight On! emoji four times. Since then, three USC commitments have been announced: Marquis Gallegos was one of them. Then came offensive lineman Makai Saina. That’s two. Friday night, Braylon Conley joined the Trojan family. That’s three. If you’re following our 2024 recruiting tracker, that’s 16 commitments as of July 1, 2023.
Four emojis, three announced commitments. #EmojiMath shows that there’s still one secured commitment for the 2024 class which has not yet been revealed. There is so much going on that it’s easy to lose track of the emoji count and the number of officially announced commitments, but on the first morning of July, the two numbers aren’t equal. There’s another commit waiting to be revealed. When this commitment is revealed, USC will take another step toward passing Notre Dame for No. 5 in the national recruiting rankings. The Trojans will get closer to passing Michigan for No. 2 in the Big Ten recruiting rankings.
