Aston Martin’s updated Vantage GT3 has been spied testing at Silverstone ahead of its planned debut in multiple sports car racing series next year.

The car, featuring a significant facelift that’s expected to match the launch of an updated Vantage road car model, was spotted turning laps at the British circuit this week.

It features an all-new front fascia along with other aero updates, including a swan neck rear wing design that has become commonplace on recent GT3 machinery. The car was running on Pirelli tires with an unidentified driver at the wheel.

Despite Aston Martin labeling it a new car for 2024, the manufacturer’s Head of Endurance Motorsport Adam Carter confirmed it has been developed under Evo regulations rather than a new homologation, as was the case with the previous model.

Sportscar365 understands that the underpinnings of the 4.0-liter V8 turbo-powered car remain largely unchanged, with work focused on aero and several mechanical areas to improve drivability, particularly for amateur drivers.

Aston Martin recently completed a 30-hour endurance test in Spain and it’s understood that the Evo is entering its final testing phase ahead of its rollout to customer teams.

Darren Turner, Jonny Adam and Tomonobu Fujii were among the drivers turning laps in the open test session at Silverstone.
