University of Oklahoma issues all-clear after report of active shooter on campus

Authorities gave the all-clear after an active shooter was reported Friday night at the University of Oklahoma’s Norman campus.
Police said no evidence of a shooting, and no victims were found.

11:23 p.m. Friday Update: The chief of the OU Police Department said there was no evidence that a shooting occurred and no injuries were reported. He said the incident might have been a false call.

10:54 p.m. Friday Update: University of Oklahoma officials said in an alert that OUPD has issued an all-clear following a thorough search of the Norman Campus. No threats were found and no threat exists. The alert has been canceled.
10:44 p.m. Friday Update: The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports that there are no victims after an active shooter was reported on OU’s campus in Norman.
10:40 p.m. Friday Update: The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the OU campus is secure.
10:20 p.m. Friday Update: OU officials said that as of 10:04 p.m. university police continue to investigate possible shots fired on the Norman campus. They have asked people to avoid the South Oval area and to continue sheltering in place.
9:50 p.m. Friday Update: OU police are investigating possible shots fired on the Norman campus. They ask people to avoid the South Oval and to shelter in place.
9:45 p.m. Friday Update: “OU-Norman Emergency: There is an active shooter at the Van Vleet Oval. Take immediate action now. Run. Hide. Fight!,” OU’s official account tweeted Friday night.
