Shuna Lovelle’s musical career started at the age of seven, when she sang vocals on a track being recorded in her dad’s studio. Her taste for collaborations has continued into adult life and her latest release sees her team up with Leith-based producer Paul Croan, aka Alex Tronic. The result is a haunting electronic song about the pandemic, Strangest Times, which also features the viola of Dominika Czerniga. It has enjoyed plays on BBC Introducing and was accompanied by a video shot in Edinburgh by filmmaker Ben Glasgow.

Several remixes have been produced, including one by London-based Snakestyle, which also features an appearance by Norwegian shaman, Tove Aradala. Not content with adding their twist to the track, they have also remixed the original video to include shots of London and a Jesus look-alike playing what might best be described as a cut-off lute. This latest version is premiered in Under The Radar and leaves a good taste of what to expect on Alex Tronic’s forthcoming album. To listen, visit https://youtu.be/epd9zMECFW4
