AMHERST — U.S. Rep. James McGovern, D-Mass., said democracy in the United States “is in crisis” during his keynote speech celebrating the University of Massachusetts commencement Friday.
“The choices you make in the coming days, weeks and months will decide if we are a country that demands truth or fears power,” he said.
