The University of Houston will be out at least four starters for Friday’s game against Tulane.

Safety Gervarrius Owens, cornerback Art Green and wide receiver Joseph Manjack IV are out for the American Athletic Conference opener, according to a person familiar with the situation.

Linebacker Donavan Mutin is expected to be a game-time decision.

Nose guard Chidozie Nwankwo, who served a one-game suspension, is expected to be back in the starting lineup.

Left tackle Patrick Paul, who injured his hip in last week’s win over Rice, is expected to start.

Running back Brandon Campbell is “ready to go” after missing one game with an ankle injury, coach Dana Holgorsen said Wednesday on his weekly coaches show.

Defensive end Derek Parish underwent season-ending surgery for a torn bicep earlier in the week.

Tulane quarterback Michael Pratt (shoulder) is not expected to play.
