Madge was due to fight Kutateladze at UFC Fight Night on March 13 only for his opponent to be forced out of the bout due to a torn meniscus.

A new opponent for Madge was found – Germany’s Nasrat Haqparast (12-3 MMA, 4-2 UFC) – but this time it was Madge who was forced out after his US visa didn’t arrive in time.

Madge, 30, hasn’t competed since defeating Fares Ziam via unanimous decision at Fight Island in the UAE at UFC 242 in September 2019.

Prior to that, the former EFC lightweight champion scored a second round knockout of Te Edwards in his UFC debut in October 2018.

Don Madge took to social media to write, “Can’t wait for this! Super stoked to get my original opponent, which will be an awesome challenge for myself!

“Thank you to @ufc @danawhite for another opportunity to showcase my skills.”

Meanwhile, Madge last month announced he was going to be a father to a baby boy on his Instagram account.
