Tyrone Mings was sent off in the first-half of Aston Villa’s home clash against Crystal Palace after two battles with Eagles ace Wilfried Zaha.

The Mings vs Zaha battle began shortly before the 40-minute mark as the latter showed his fury at a Mings tackle on him which he clearly thought was illegal.

A scuffle ensued with many players getting involved, and it resulted in both Mings and Zaha being booked for their roles in the incident.

And just a few minutes later, shortly before the half-time whistle blew, Mings was shown his second yellow card after he fouled Zaha upon being outfoxed by the winger.

Zaha pushed the ball around the defender and sought to run through on goal, only for Mings to cynically block the attacker and earn a deserved yellow card.

This meant he was dismissed, with Villa beginning the second half with only ten men, seeking to hold onto their 1-0 lead gained through Bertrand Traore’s fifth-minute goal.
