The Atlanta Falcons made a few changes to their front office on Monday, but fans were preoccupied with a trade made by the Atlanta Hawks.

According to a report from ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Hawks are sending John Collins to the Utah Jazz in exchange for Rudy Gay and a future second-round pick. Collins has been the subject of multiple trade rumors, but fans felt the 25-year-old was worth more than what Atlanta received in return.

Gay, 38, averaged 5.2 points, 2.9 rebounds and one assist per game last season. Here’s how Twitter reacted to Monday’s trade news.

Feels like this was in conversation since I moved to Atlanta.

John Collins has finally been traded, he definitely secured a spot in the trade rumor hall of fame the last few years https://t.co/T8fHouCYmh

The Hawks are expected to continue to be in a deal-making mode this offseason and ownership has given GM Landry Fields the OK to move into the luxury tax should it be necessary to improve the roster, sources said.

well what’s y’all reaction?

Mine – it will be interesting to see with Jalen Or Bey get the 4 spot. I think it will be Jalen but we’ll see.

I’m happy JC also is getting a fresh start. I think he will do well in Utah. https://t.co/N4vV6zR7XM
