K-pop icon TWICE is gearing up for the release of its 13th mini-album, “With YOU-th,” scheduled for Feb. 23. To heighten excitement for their return, the group will also unveil the album’s pre-release single “I GOT YOU” on Feb. 2.
Representing TWICE’s first musical endeavor of 2024, “With YOU-th” ends the group’s year-long hiatus since the release of its 12th mini-album, “READY TO BE,” in March 2023.
The pre-release track, “I GOT YOU,” is set to add to the group’s list of English releases, connecting with previous hits like “The Feels” (2021) and “MOONLIGHT SUNRISE” (2023), both of which achieved consecutive rankings on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart.
In an official press release, JYP Entertainment, the group’s agency, disclosed details about the pre-release track, describing it as a song with “a straightforward drum pattern and the harmonious vocals of all nine members.” The agency further emphasized that the song’s lyrics “authentically convey the enduring friendship and love among TWICE members.”
Comprising nine members — Jihyo, Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung and Tzuyu — TWICE is currently on their successful world tour, “TWICE 5TH WORLD TOUR ‘READY TO BE,'” which kicked off in Seoul in April 2023.
The group’s noteworthy performances at Yanmar Stadium Nagai in Osaka and Ajinomoto Stadium in Tokyo, Japan in May last year were followed by entries into SoFi Stadium, Los Angeles, and MetLife Stadium, New York, in June and July, marking milestones in the history of girl groups worldwide. In November, TWICE achieved another first for K-pop groups by gracing the stage at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne, Australia.
Building on this momentum, TWICE has planned additional performances at large venues this year. This includes Mexico City’s Foro Sol in February, Allianz Parque in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas in March and Yanmar Stadium Nagai in Osaka, as well as Nissan Stadium in Yokohama, Japan, in July.
