Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) appeared infuriated and on the verge of tears as he called on people to join in support of former President Donald Trump against his historic indictment.
While speaking with Fox News host Sean Hannity, Graham responded with emotion to the unprecedented news of a Manhattan grand jury voting Thursday to issue an indictment of a former president.

“This is a moment in American history. This is the most dangerous decision by a prosecutor in the history of the country. He’s opened up Pandora’s box against the presidency itself,” Graham said. “This is a danger to the presidency. This is turning the rule of law upside down to destroy a man who the Left fears.”
Graham continued as he gave Trump’s website address: “Do not let them get away with this. Vote. Show up at the ballot box. Give the man some money so he can fight.”
The senator received applause from Hannity’s live studio audience.
Despite Graham having been one of Trump’s greatest Republican critics in the past, he rallied behind the former president, predicting that “Trump wins in court and he wins the [2024] election.”
Graham suggested the number of charges brought against Trump is irrelevant when compared to the “political hatred” behind the indictment.
“If you got a pile of crap and chop it up 34 times, it’s still a pile of crap,” Graham said. “It’s duplicitous charging. They’re trying to smear the guy. They’re trying to take cases that nobody else would take and resurrect them. This is literally legal voodoo. This is political persecution. This is a combination of political hatred and selective prosecution on steroids.”
“If you got friends, make sure they vote. If you don’t have any friends, go make some friends,” Graham added. “But you need to help this man, Donald J. Trump. They are trying to drain him dry.”
The South Carolina Republican said Trump has spent “more money on lawyers than most people spend on campaigns.”

“Give the president some money to fight this bulls***,” he pushed. “This is going to destroy America.”
Thursday’s indictment marks the first time a former U.S. president has been criminally charged, setting the stage for what could be an unprecedented trial as Trump seeks a return to the White House in 2024.
