Trump attacks ‘1619 Project,’ will sign executive order for ‘1776 Commission’

President Donald Trump is on a mission to stop what he calls “toxic propaganda.”

According to Politico, the president has strong feeling about the civil unrest that surrounds our country after the death of George Floyd. He addressed his concerns at an event held at the National Archives Museum in celebration of this country signing the U.S. Constitution in September of 1787 on Wednesday.

He tackled the Black Lives Matter movement, “toxic propaganda” in schools and the New York Times Magazine, 1619 Project.

”We are here today to declare that we will never submit to tyranny, we will reclaim our history, and our country, for citizens of every race, color, religion and creed,” the president said.

He continued, “America’s founding set in motion the unstoppable chain of events that abolished slavery, secured civil rights, defeated communism and fascism, and built the most fair, equal and prosperous nation in human history.”

Trump is not in favor of racial justice projects that highlight America’s greatest sins and is working hard to undo and stop schools from teaching the ugly side to America’s history, such as slavery, racism and oppression.

The president plans to withhold funding from schools in California or any other state that plans to educate students on the The 1619 Project, a long form on-going project that takes a deep dive into slavery and how it still impacts America today. Though it is unclear if he actually has the power to do this.

Trump also went after Democrats for alleged violence and claimed, “The left-wing rioting and mayhem are the direct result of decades of left-wing indoctrination in our schools,” American parents are not going to accept indoctrination in our schools, cancel culture at work, or the repression of traditional faith, culture, and values in the public square, not anymore.”
