Troy Aikman could barely contain his laughter after Commanders owner Josh Harris awkwardly shook Joe Buck’s hand

We all misread social cues. It’s part of the human experience to be awkward, after all. Unfortunately, Josh Harris’ awkward blunder was broadcast to the wider sports world and was instantly turned into a meme.

During a preseason Monday Night Football game, new Washington Commanders owner Harris took to the broadcast booth to hang out with Joe Buck and Troy Aikman during the team’s contest against the Baltimore Ravens. During his visit to the booth, Harris randomly shook Buck’s hand as the broadcaster was gesticulating, causing an awkward moment as no one acknowledged the gaffe.

Aikman, however, could barely contain his laughter as Harris awkwardly returned his hands to his hips in an attempt to play off the handshake.

Awkward moments happen to the best of us, but wow that is rough to watch. Aikman’s attempt to hold back a laugh is the best part of the exchange, for sure.

NFL fans, however, could not hold back their jokes after Harris awkwardly shook Buck’s hand during Monday Night Football.
