Trevor Noah’s 2024 Grammys Monologue Featured A Meryl Streep Cameo

With his Feb. 4 Grammys monologue, Trevor Noah kicked off his fourth consecutive time hosting the music awards show, but it was also a personal first. The former Daily Show host has never been an emcee and nominee on the same evening, but this year, he earned a nod for his comedy special Trevor Noah: I Wish You Would.

As the comedian told Billboard, that made the 2024 show “an interesting one.”

“I only hope that I slip into the zone of hosting and then by the time my award comes, I have … completely zoned in,” he said of the Best Comedy Album category. “I just hope I’m in the right place.”

As it turns out, however, the award was given out at a pre-show ceremony. While it ultimately went to Dave Chappelle, that meant Noah’s Grammys monologue could go ahead with a little less nerves — and a little more Meryl Streep.
