Tragedy strikes Chris Snow’s family
Kelsie #Kelsie
There is devastating news out of Calgary on Wednesday. Flames assistant general manager Chris Snow’s wife Kelsie has just announced on social media that her husband became unresponsive on Tuesday and went into cardiac arrest. Snow has been battling the progressive neuromuscular disease ALS for years.
Doctors were able to get his heart to beat again, but Kelsie reports that Chris has suffered a catastrophic brain injury caused by the lack of oxygen and doctors do not expect him to wake up from this.
This is just heartbreaking for the Snow family and the Flames’ organization…
Last summer, Snow received a standing ovation at the 2022 NHL Awards when he and his family presented the Norris Trophy and raise awareness of the progressive neuromuscular disease. The Snow family and Chris, who have become tireless advocates for ALS research and fans are thrilled that the AGM is back on track.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone who loves Chris Snow.
