Town Election Date: April 10

            The last day to pick up nomination papers was Tuesday, Feb.16.

            The last day to submit nomination papers is Feb. 19 to the Registrars for certification by 5 p.m.

            The last day to withdraw nominations papers is March 8 at 5 p.m.; the drawing for position on the ballot will take place at 6 p.m.

            The last day to register voters for the Town Election will be March 22, 8:30 a.m.-8 p.m.

NORWOOD

            Nomination papers are currently available in the office of the Town Clerk through 5 p.m. on Friday, March 5, by appointment.

            The Town Clerk’s office is staffed during normal business hours; however, the building is closed to the public. Please call 781-326-3964 or 781-320-1013 to make arrangements to pull papers for candidacy.

            On the Election Ballot

            Board of Assessors – one seat, three-year term

            Housing Authority – one seat, five-year term

            Library Trustee – two seats, three-year terms

            Moderator – one seat, one-year term

            Planning Board – two seats, three-year terms

            Planning Board – one seat, one-year term (to fill a vacancy)

            School Committee – one seat, three-year term

            Selectman – one seat, three-year term

            Sewer Commission – one seat, three-year term

            Town Treasurer – one seat, three-year term

Important dates for candidates to remember

            Friday, March 5, 5 p.m. – Last day to obtain nomination papers.

            Tuesday, March 9, 5 p.m. – Last day to submit nomination papers to Registrar of Voters for certification.

            Thursday, March 25, 5 p.m. – Last day to object or withdraw nomination papers.

            Wednesday, April 7 – Last day to register new voters or make changes to your voter registration for Town Election and Town Meeting.

            Tuesday, April 27 – Annual Town Election. Polls open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m.

            Monday, May 3 – Annual Town Meeting (check-in at 6:30 p.m.; recognitions and swearing in of newly elected officials at 7 p.m.; business portion of meeting begins at 7:30 p.m.)
