Donovan Mitchell, Evan Mobley, and Isaac Okoro led the Cleveland Cavaliers to a win over the Brooklyn Nets.
The Cleveland Cavaliers swept the Brooklyn Nets in their two-game mini-series this week. The Cavs comfortably handled the Nets on Tuesday night, but Thursday night was much closer.
Cleveland assembled a fourth-quarter comeback that ended in a game-winner. These were the players that stood out in the victory.
Donovan Mitchell
No surprise on this one, but Donovan Mitchell played a massive role in the Cavs’ effort to beat the Nets. Mitchell finished the night with 31 points and an efficient 48 percent from the field.
Spida set the tone early on in the game. He scored 12 points in the first quarter with nine of those coming in just the first three minutes.
The Cavs always have a good chance to win when Mitchell drops 30 or more points.
Evan Mobley
Evan Mobley may have one of the most overlooked performances because of Okoro’s game-winner. However, Mobley was incredible against the Nets. He dropped 26 points and grabbed 16 total rebounds. Mobley was also a beast on the defense side blocking four shots.
It still amazes me some of the footwork that Mobley has down low in the paint. That was surely on display on Thursday night!
Isaac Okoro
Of course, Isaac Okoro had to be on this list!
He was the man who came in clutch for the Cavs by knocking down the walk-off three with less than a second left on the clock. The reaction from the rest of the team tells you all you need to know about what this meant to them.
