TOMMY Robinson has fled the country, claiming his family is “no longer safe in the UK” after an alleged arson attack.

The far right activist, 37, revealed in a video that he is looking to relocate after “the incident”, although it is unclear where.

The ex English Defence League leader, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon did not say where he has fled to.

However he refers to a recently imposed 14-day quarantine in the video, suggesting he may be in Spain.

Speaking in the clip, Mr Robinson said: “I had an incident quite a few weeks ago. An arson.

‘HAD ENOUGH’

“I was targeted, against my wife’s property, at that point we left the country straight away.

“My wife has had enough, someone has given us somewhere to stay.”

Mr Robinson said the move had been particularly difficult due to coronavirus restrictions.

He said he drove to where he is staying now and he will not return to the UK for a planned demonstration this weekend in order to be with his family.

He said: “Obviously my wife has had enough of everything — someone gave her somewhere to stay, so we left the country, and I was due to be flying back for the demonstration, but now with this 14-day quarantine, I probably won’t get back out and my kids are out here.”

‘NOT SAFE’

He said he has sorted new schools for his daughters, adding: “I’m still in the process of finding a permanent relocation for them.”

Mr Robinson added: “I need my family to be away because they are not safe basically.”

Last month, Democratic Football Lads Alliance called on supporters to travel to London to protect monuments after some were vandalised during recent protests.

Mr Robinson, who expressed his support for the action, said the attack happened after the protests.

It comes after the right wing activist was banned from Twitter and Facebook last year for violating their community standards.
