Tom Brady’s FOX TV deal is ‘richest pact in sports media history,’ Buccaneers QB passes Troy Aikman, Tony Romo (report)

Tom Brady won’t take much of a pay cut when he finally decides to retire.
The quarterback has agreed to join FOX as their No. 1 NFL analyst whenever he is done playing, and the contract is the “richest pact in sports media history,” according to Michael McCarthy. Brady will make between $20 million and $25 million per season calling games, passing both Tony Romo and Troy Aikman.
“Over the course of this long-term agreement, Tom will not only call our biggest NFL games with Kevin Burkhardt, but will also serve as an ambassador for us, particularly with respect to client and promotional initiatives,” FOX Sports CEO Lachlan Murdoch announced. “We are delighted that Tom has committed to joining the FOX team and wish him all the best during this upcoming season.”
Brady originally signed a two-year, $50 million contract to join Tampa Bay in 2021 and has subsequently adjusted it to get more real money and create cap space for the Buccaneers. So his new TV deal is pretty comparable to that $25 million per season average.
Though his next move with FOX is official, don’t expect (another) retirement from Brady any time soon.
“Excited, but a lot of unfinished business on the field with the @Buccaneers #LFG,” Brady tweeted.
