‘Today it’s Grindr, then it was the limo driver’: Convicted fraudster who claims he had cocaine-fueled sex with Obama says they met through a cabbie and hooked up in the back …
Larry Sinclair #LarrySinclair
A convicted con man claimed in an interview on Wednesday that he took cocaine with Barack Obama and performed oral sex on him twice in Chicago in 1999.
Larry Sinclair claimed he met Obama through a limousine driver, who knew the then-Illinois representative.
He claimed Obama smoked crack with him and then Sinclair gave him oral sex. He alleged Obama turned up at his hotel the next day, and the same routine played out.
Sinclair said he was certain Obama had had sex with men before, and smoked crack previously.
He said he knew Obama was married, but the marriage was troubled, and described him as ‘a con’ who used Sinclair, looking for some sort of ‘hook’, or advantage.
Sinclair, a convicted fraudster, first raised the claims more than 15 years ago and has never offered any proof of his claims against the former president.

The South Carolina-born fraudster hired a room in the Washington DC press club in 2008 to tell his story, and in 2009 self-published a book entitled: ‘Barack Obama & Larry Sinclair: Cocaine, Sex, Lies & Murder?’
Sinclair’s claims were given a new lease of life by the publication of a letter which Obama, then 21, wrote to his girlfriend Alex McNear in November 1982.
In the letter, he wrote that he ‘loves making love to men daily, but in the imagination,’ according to the New York Post.
Sinclair’s claims were given fresh oxygen on Wednesday night by Tucker Carlson, who interviewed him for his show on X.
A spokesperson for Obama’s personal office did not respond to a request for comment from DailyMail.com on Wednesday evening.
Sinclair has a lengthy criminal history, including convictions on forgery, fraud and larceny charges, and has served prison time in Arizona, Florida and Colorado.
HOW SINCLAIR SAYS THEY MET
Sinclair, who grew up in South Carolina and now lives in Mexico, said that he was living in Colorado at the time and went to Chicago.
‘I was in town for a few nights, and I was definitely looking to party,’ he said. ‘There was no doubt what I was looking for.’
He said a limousine driver picked him up, and introduced him to Obama. ‘The driver definitely knew him, as he said he was a friend.
‘I only found out later, dealing with a reporter from Bloomberg News, that the limousine company had been doing business with Tony Rezko.’
Syrian-born Rezko was a notorious Democrat donor, who contributed to Obama’s campaign. He was later imprisoned for multiple counts of fraud.

SOURCING COCAINE
Sinclair said that he and Obama went to an ‘upscale, quiet’ bar, which he could not name – but ‘where the glasses had three Xs on them’.
He said he was told Obama was having trouble in his marriage, but the issue was not discussed.
‘My feeling is that Barack Obama is definitely bi. There is a lot of transactional qualities to him. I think whatever he does is looking for a hook, looking for a benefit,’ said Sinclair.
Sinclair said he had no idea Obama was a politician.
The fraudster said he told Obama he was tired and ‘wanted something to wake up,’ and Obama immediately knew he meant cocaine, and told him he could get it.
‘I had no idea that he was a representative in the Illinois House. I just knew that he was supposedly married, and at that time going through some issues in the marriage,’ said Sinclair.
He said they returned to the limo, and were driven to a place where they could buy cocaine. Sinclair said he gave Obama $250 to buy cocaine: Obama went out, returned to the limo, and then they took the drugs.
Sinclair claims that Obama smoked the drug, while he snorted it.
GETTING INTIMATE – TWICE
Sinclair said that, after they had both taken cocaine, Sinclair began stroking Obama’s thigh.
‘Then you hit on him,’ Carlson said. ‘Did he seem shocked by that?’
Sinclair replied: ‘Not at all.’
Larry Sinclair, who claims he performed a sexual act on Barack Obama, poses with women at Trump National Doral Miami in a photo he posted October 12, 2019 from Miami, Florida.
He continued: ‘I’ve done a lot of crazy things in my lifetime. I’m a pretty good judge of character. I didn’t feel like I was going in the wrong direction.
‘I wasn’t sure I could trust the individual. But I was somewhat buzzed, so caution went to the wind.’
Sinclair said he was someone who had ‘been around’, and was constantly worried his partners would pull a knife on him, or worse.
After the act, in the back of the limo, Sinclair said he returned to his hotel – a Comfort Inn, in the Chicago suburb of Gurnee.
‘I got dropped off, and they left,’ he told Carlson.
‘The next day was somewhat interesting because he showed up at my hotel room.
‘I got no warning – I was in my room, I get a knock on the door, he’s standing there with more coke.
‘Exact same program.’
He said again Obama smoked crack, and then Sinclair performed oral sex on him.
‘You get off, you finish smoking, you leave,’ he said.
OBAMA WAS ‘A CON’, LOOKING TO TAKE ADVANTAGE
Sinclair said he thought Obama was ‘interesting, definitely a con.’
He added: ‘I had definitely been around. You know when people are doing things because they actually really enjoy it, looking for a connection.
‘Or they are looking for an in, a hook. I thought he was looking at it as in, is there something I can get out of it, other than the sexual part.’
He said he was left with ‘a bad taste in his mouth’.
SINCLAIR DISCOVERS WHO OBAMA IS
Sinclair said he learnt Obama’s identity five years later, in 2004.
‘I had no idea who he was until I was sitting in my house in Mexico in 2004 and he walked onto the stage, at the convention,’ he told Carlson.
‘I hit the floor. I was laughing so hard.’

Sinclair said he was in no doubt it was him.
‘I don’t forget people. He used his real name – he called himself Barack.
‘I didn’t know that much about him. You hook up. Today it’s Grindr, back then it’s a limo driver or bar tender. You ask, and somebody knows something or doesn’t.’
Sinclair said he ‘freaked out’, and told friends who were at his house that night.
‘You’re not going to believe this,’ he said he told them. ‘I blew this guy twice!’
He said it was ‘unreal’.
Sinclair added: ‘It was a strange feeling sitting there seeing him walk across the stage, and realizing who he was.’
SINCLAIR CONTACTS THE 2008 CAMPAIGN
Sinclair said he got in touch with the campaign in 2007, when Obama said he was open about his drug use as a young man.
‘The only reason I came out about it is – I had reached out to the campaign even in 2007,’ said Sinclair.
‘Only because I saw all these kids getting excited about it.’
Sinclair once ran for mayor of the town of Cocoa, in Florida
In his 1995 memoir, Obama mentioned smoking ‘reefer’ in ‘the dorm room of some brother’ and talked about ‘getting high.’
He wrote that he had indulged in marijuana, alcohol and sometimes cocaine as a high school student in Hawaii, and made ‘some bad decisions’ as a teenager involving drugs and drinking – but he did not give specifics.
Sinclair said he felt Obama was not being honest.
‘I simply pointed out: look, why don’t you come out and say I did coke, and I’ve done it as recently as 1999. Put it out there, and let it stay as the truth.’
He said he reached out to the office of David Axelrod, Obama’s chief campaign strategist, in Chicago, and sent three letters. Initially he did not mention sex.
OBAMA ON CRACK?
‘What was Obama like on crack?’ asked Carlson.
‘I knew a lot of people who smoked it, as I was in Miami in the late 80s when it became popular,’ said Sinclair.
‘Similar to a friend of mine in Miami: extremely high, calm, euphoric. Then when it starts to come down twitching and looking. Anything that looks white you think is another piece you can smoke.
‘Euphoric, talkative but not really saying anything.’
Carlson added: ‘So, just like his presidency.’
Sinclair said he was sure it was not the first time Obama had smoked crack, because he ‘got into a limo with a pipe in his pocket.’
SINCLAIR’S STORY IS DISMISSED
In 2008, when Sinclair first aired his claims, Politico reported on the saga, noting that the ‘story has generally been ignored by the mainstream media, because he’s been unable to substantiate his allegations.’
In June 2008, Sinclair rented a room at the National Press Club in Washington DC, and spoke for an hour, going into great detail about the two sexual liaisons.
The press conference ended in Sinclair’s arrest on an open warrant from Delaware, after liberal bloggers who supported Obama apparently tipped off DC police to his scheduled appearance.

For more than a decade, Sinclair’s claims were taken seriously only by the furthest fringe of conspiracy theorists, and had largely receded from public discourse.
Sinclair urged Obama, on Wednesday night, to turn over his phone records from 1999 and prove Sinclair was not ‘crazy’.
He said he did not anticipate the reaction, but it probably ‘would not have stopped me.’
He added: ‘My opinion was: if you are going to tell the story, tell the whole story and let the chips fall where they may.’
Sinclair said YouTube gave access to his account to someone, and when it was returned to him the video of his 2008 speech was deleted.
Carlson asked Sinclair why he was telling the story, saying he had not got rich from it.
‘I think I have an answer for why a lot of reporters would not want to follow up,’ said Sinclair.
He said someone in the Obama campaign told a Chicago Tribune reporter ‘that they were aware of who I was, and it was their intention to destroy me, and if they mentioned my name they would be cut off from the campaign.’
Sinclair added: ‘No one wanted to be blackballed by a historic campaign. It would be a story if the media really cared about telling the truth about anything.’
THE CRIMINAL RECORD
Sinclair attacked Politico, for saying he had a 27-year criminal record.
‘My criminal record goes from 1980 to 1986. Any sentence I’ve been given, I’ve served,’ said Sinclair.
He denied being a fugitive, or trying to escape justice.
‘I’ve never hidden my past in regular, everyday life – why would I hide it with this?’
OBAMA’S RECORD
Sinclair said: ‘I think he’s the same grifter he always was. I think he’s power hungry. I think he’s calling the shots in the Biden administration.
‘Race relations in this country has not only been pushed back. But everything is about race now. About victimization.
‘I would be willing to bet you I’m not the only white male he had sex with. He got what he wanted – he’s in DC, living the life, still looked upon as the savior of the country.
‘Sadly people are still giving him that power.’
He said: ‘I grew up as a gay kid in an area where being gay could get you killed, just as much as being black.
‘I’ve watched it all my life. I know when people play. I knew because he was saying one thing on the campaign – remember when he told supporters to turn up for a fight with a knife, get in their face, argue with them, convince them.
‘You don’t say things like that, and then say you won’t make it about race.’
Carlson concluded that that was ‘the one part of your story that we can say, unequivocally, you are telling the truth about.’
