TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace Competes In WWE Women’s Royal Rumble
Jordynne Grace #JordynneGrace
Jordynne Grace crossed the line at WWE Royal Rumble.
TNA Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace followed in Mickie James’ footsteps, as she competed in the 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble match. Grace entered fifth overall, and she reunited with Naomi, also known as Trinity, the woman she beat to win the TNA Knockouts World Championship at TNA Hard To Kill. The appearance marked Grace’s WWE debut.
She hugged Naomi before they took the fight to each other. Grace lasted several minutes before Bianca Belair eliminated her.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reports that WWE had reached out to other companies about potential surprise entrants in the Royal Rumble matches. Per Sapp, WWE contacted TNA this past weekend to ask about Grace, and they reached an agreement.
The report notes that Grace is still signed with TNA. Per Sapp, she had a physical and blood work earlier in the week before she participated in rehearsals. Sapp cites sources in TNA who indicated that they heard Grace’s participation was a possibility earlier this month. According to sources in WWE, both WWE and Grace were easy to deal with and accommodating.
Mickie James previously competed in the 2022 Women’s Royal Rumble. She was the reigning IMPACT Knockouts World Champion, and she entered the match as the eighteenth entrant. James lasted over 10 minutes before Lita eliminated her.
