The leader of the Scottish Tories, Douglas Ross, has told the prime minister that his “time is up” and he must resign.
Boris Johnson is trying to hold onto his premiership after dozens of resignations from his government in the past 24 hours.
Yesterday, Rishi Sunak resigned as chancellor and Sajid Javid stood down as health secretary. They were swiftly followed by several ministers, and many MPs have publicly withdrawn their support from Johnson. More than 30 people have now resigned from the government.
