Canadian coffee chain Tim Hortons is planning to open another of its popular drive-thrus in Greater Manchester.
A planning application has now been lodged with Stockport Council to open a new branch of the fast food business.
If approved, it would see the company taking over a vacant unit at the Peel Centre where it can serve its signature menu of coffees, doughnuts, burgers and breakfast sandwiches.
Tim Hortons was founded in Hamilton in Canada in 1964 and is particularly popular for its Timbits, bite-size doughnuts served in a variety of flavours.
The site it’s planning to take over used to be home to a Frankie & Benny’s, which shut down last year as part of The Restaurant Group’s CVA that saw 125 restaurants permanently close.
The plans include installing a drive-thru lane to the site, where its neighbours will include Nando’s and Pizza Hut.

There are already three Tim Hortons branches in Greater Manchester, in Salford, Altrincham, and on Oxford Road.
The company opened its first UK site on Bury New Road in 2017, with customers queuing up as early as 2am to claim the free food on offer that day.
It has plans for rapid and ambitious expansion across the UK, aiming to create 20,000 new jobs by 2022.
Tim Hortons said it was unable to comment on the plan.
It has also revealed plans to open its first drive-thru restaurant in Yorkshire, with a new site at Crystal Peaks Village Retail Park in Sheffield.
