Tiger Woods tracker at Masters 2023: Live score, updates as five-time champion makes cut, sneaks into weekend
Tiger #Tiger
Masters history has found Tiger Woods once again. The 15-time major champion and five-time green jacket holder made his 23rd straight cut at Augusta National on Saturday, moving him into a three-way tie with Fred Couples and Gary Player for most consecutive made cuts at the tournament. Woods moved to 23-0 playing the weekend as a professional at Augusta, last missing the cut while playing as an amateur in 1996.
Woods opened play Saturday siting at 2 over, and though he birdied the 15th and pared the 16th, he bogeyed the final two holes to suddenly sit 3 over and one off the line. However, Justin Thomas (+4) bogeyed three of his final four holes to miss his first Masters cut while sending the line low enough that Tiger could sneak into the weekend.
Though Tiger has qualified for the weekend, given the conditions at Augusta — temperatures hovering around 50 degrees, constant rain and high winds — whether he will actually play or finish the final two rounds remains to be seen. He also just completed his fifth straight over-par round of professional golf dating back to 2022.
