It may not have been a very fun season for the Charlotte Hornets, who were riddled with injuries seemingly all year. But there is a lot of excitement about the future of the team, given that they stay healthy.

In a recent article by The Ringer, three Hornets were ranked inside the NBA’s Top 125 players; LaMelo Ball (No. 50), Terry Rozier (No. 108), and Gordon Hayward (No. 111).

Ball was one of the many hit by the injury bug this past season, suffering multiple ankle injuries which limited him to just 36 games. When he was on the court though, he played at an elite level, averaging 23.3 points, 8.4 assists, and 6.4 rebounds per game.

With Ball sidelined for much of the year, Terry Rozier ran the point. He posted a career-high in points per game (21.1) and assists per game (5.1). It’ll be interesting to see how his production is impacted by Ball’s return and a potential addition of Scoot Henderson.

As for Hayward, he missed significant time again but played the most games in a season since he’s been with the Hornets (50). It was a bit of a down year for Hayward, who saw his three-point percentage drop from 39% to 32%. He’s entering the final year of his four-year contract.
