This livestream of the Philly skyline has a fun, interactive ‘Go Birds’ feature

Connectify is known for its internet connectivity-focused innovations, but during Super Bowl week, all eyes are on the sky.
The Philly tech company, which created the virtual private network Speedify, recently launched a 24/7 livestream of the Philly skyline on Twitch. The team had been exploring the functions of Elon Musk’s SpaceX internet system, Starlink, and created the livestream using a Starlink satellite, cofounder Bhana Grover told Techncial.ly in an email.
“We’re using it to test how to bond Starlink with Speedify and ensure an all-day stream never goes down,” Grover said.
The streaming camera is mounted on the company’s Callowhill HQ at Sixth and Spring Garden streets, and gives viewers a look at the Center City skyline, as well as the Ben Franklin Bridge. And because the Connectify team are “die-hard” Philly sports fans, they’ve introduced a fun new feature this week: Ahead of the Super Bowl Sunday evening, the company has implemented interactive Eagles features into the livestream.

Viewers can check out live stats and animations, and can even “project” a big, green “Go Birds!” and a dancing Jalen Hurts onto the video of the skyline.
The company hosted sports broadcaster Natalie Egenolf Monday to check out the features. You can hear about the process of setting up the Starlink 24/7 livestream here, and see Egenolf play with the new features on this recorded stream.
