Final injury update for Boston Celtics at Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics close off their season series on Monday night at Rocket Mortgage FieldHosue. The Cavs have gone 2-1 against the Celtics this season, but Boston got the best of them the last time out.

However, the lineups will look a little bit different than that game.

Jayson Tatum

The Celtics’ All-Star and MVP candidate won’t be playing in this one against the Cavs. Jayson Tatum was ruled OUT on Monday afternoon with a “left knee contusion.”

Tatum also did play 48 big minutes for the Celtics on Sunday night in their overtime loss to New York Knicks. It’s not too surprising he’s sitting out the second game of the back-to-back.

Al Horford

Al Horford will also be on the bench for the series finale. He’s been ruled out by a back injury. Horford being out may not seem like a huge factor. However, he is a solid defender and could’ve given the Cavs’ big mean some trouble in the paint.

Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley need to take advantage of his absence.

Robert Williams III

Speaking of big men who won’t be playing, Robert Williams III will also be OUT on Monday night. He did not play on Sunday night either as he working through a hamstring injury and it appears he could be out for quite some time.

Donovan Mitchell

Donovan Mitchell will be AVAILABLE after being questionable leading up to the game.

Mitchell has suffered a number of injuries over the last few weeks. He’s been working through a nagging hamstring injury that he apparently reaggravated last Wednesday when the Cavs and Celtics met up. He also left the game on Saturday night after suffering a finger sprain.
