‘This is the worst food I have ever seen with my eyes’ – Twitter reacts to serving Weetabix with Heinz Beans
Weetabix #Weetabix
Weetabix has been a part of English breakfasts since 1932, but it’s never come across anyone’s mind to mix it with what you would usually serve on toast.
The company tweeted out a serving suggestion of Weetabix and Heinz Baked Beans, together, on the same plate.
Weetabix said in a tweet: “Why should bread have all the fun, when there’s Weetabix? Serving up @HeinzUK. Beanz on bix for breakfast with a twist. #ItHasToBeHeinz #HaveYouHadYourWeetabix”
The image sparked a huge debate on Twitter which lead to companies and social media influences hilariously getting involved and raising some good questions.
We don’t know what prompted Weetabix and Heinz to team up but the reactions from Twitter users have made it worth the wait.
Comedy central UK were not at all impressed, but Shaun of the Dead director Edgar Wright is totally up for the unique breakfast.
The Lidl Twitter account joked: “Babe are u ok? You’ve hardly touched your Weetabix and beans!”
“This is the worst food I have ever seen with my eyes,” one Twitter user wrote, while another said: “You’ve done this intentionally to anger an entire nation, haven’t you?”
Thousands of reactions poured in with them getting funnier the further you scroll.
“Please delete Twitter,” one wrote. “And I mean the whole site.”
