The Traitors series 2 spoilers follow.

The Traitors star Ross Carson has reacted to his mum Diane’s exit from the show.

The fan-favourite player was led to her death in an eerie procession last night (January 17), after drinking from the Traitors’ poisoned chalice.

Shortly after the episode aired, Ross took to X – formerly Twitter – to reassure fans, saying: “Don’t worry guys, it’s not actually real. I heard from her today… from beyond.”

The reality star also shared a sweet picture of his family, as they watched the episode together via Zoom.

Captioned: “Prosecco at the ready for the slow slow death,” the snap featured Diane’s relatives – including Game of Thrones’ Kerr Logan, her other son – fittingly dressed in all-black as they tuned in for the funeral procession.

After learning of her fate, Diane sat down with banished Traitor Miles on The Traitors: Uncloaked to finally find out the identities of the Traitors.

When Miles revealed he was a Traitor, Diane exclaimed: “You bastard! No way, I never thought I’d like a Traitor! No way, what an amazing game. You killed me then? You wee shit.”

She added: “Everybody has been fooled by you, it’s because your name has not been mentioned. You’ve played such a good game.”

Reacting to Harry’s true identity, Diane admitted: “Christ I can’t play this game at all. Harry, that wee bastard,” before adding: “That’s why you’re playing so well, they’ve picked the nicest people in the world apart from me to be fair.”

Upon finding out Paul was a Traitor, Diane didn’t appear as shocked: “Paul. Shit okay.”
