The Traitors ends on another gripping cliffhanger as Wilf tries to recruit Kieran – and viewers are praying for revenge

The Traitors episode 10 ended with Wilf Webster attempting to recruit Kieran as a Traitor on Tuesday night with viewers desperate to see their face-to-face meeting.

After the charity worker cast the determining vote to eliminate Amanda in shocking scenes, presenter Claudia Winkleman asked him to invite a Faithful to join him on the dark side.

‘I imagine it’s really lonely being the only Traitor, so you have the last chance to recruit,’ she said.

Explaining what would happen, Claudia said that Wilf would have a secret in-person meeting with the contestant of his choice in an attempt to convert them.

‘You’ll give them an ultimatum,’ she said. ‘Either join you and become a Traitor or get murdered. If they choose to join you as a Traitor, then you will come back to this turret and murder as usual.’

It didn’t take long for Wilf to land on Kieran. ‘In my mind I definitely, definitely need another Traitor to get to the finals with me,’ he said.

‘I need somebody that I can trust, somebody that I feel that I have a connection with.’

Sharing why he decided to recruit Kieran, he continued: ‘He’s intelligent and he’s a strong person and he’s clearly showed today that he can make people’s opinions change. Also, they’re going to think it’s another man. I’d rather them go for him than me.’

Kieran was certainly taken aback by the proposition of a meeting.

‘My mind is racing massively, as you can imagine,’ he said in the confessional as he read Wilf’s letter.

‘It’s a massive, massive twist of events which I did not see at all.’

Audiences are holding out hope that Kieran will accept Wilf’s offer and use it to his advantage.

Sharing their desires on social media, one wrote: ‘If Kieran was smart, he’d accept and turn on Wilf surely. He’s already got some doubters, and he’s stabbed the other two traitors in the back. Ripe for picking. Tomorrow, 9pm cannot come soon enough.’

‘If I was Kieran I would accept the traitorship and then throw Wilf under the bus at the round table the next day,’ another said. ‘Maddie is hell-bent on getting rid of Wilf.’

Viewers will have to patiently sit tight until Wednesday night’s episode to learn whether or not Kieran has been sucked into the opposing team.

Of course, the Traitors don’t have a strong track record of trying to get Faithfuls to join them.

Earlier this month, presenter Alex rejected the offer to join Amanda and Wilfred, explaining she’d seen ‘how heavy the crown of being a traitor weighs.’

She continued: ‘And after experiencing how intense it is just to be a Faithful, I don’t think I’d be able to do it.

‘I may end up regretting the decision but as a Faithful, I believe could stay all the way. For that reason will politely decline the offer.’

Alex’s journey on The Traitors didn’t last long after that, and she was soon taken out by Amanda and Wilf.

The Traitors continues on Wednesday at 9pm on BBC One.
