The Rock Confronts Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes Not Facing Reigns At WrestleMania
Wrestlemania #Wrestlemania
Cody Rhodes will not finish the story at WrestleMania 40. At the very least, he won’t do it by himself.
On the February 2 episode of WWE SmackDown, Cody Rhodes was set to announce his decision regarding his decision about WrestleMania, as he won the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble match. Before Cody came to the ring, Roman Reigns went out first and responded to the comments Seth Rollins made about his title on WWE RAW. He said he had beaten everyone who challenged for Rollins’ title in the first place.
Reigns also noted that he does not work as much as Rollins, but he gets paid ten times as much. As for Rhodes, Reigns said Cody could be the best number two, or he could take a shot at number one. Cody came out and stated that he had Reigns at WrestleMania last year, but Roman cheated him. He emphasized that Reigns’ title was the one Bruno Sammartino held, and it was the won his father Dusty Rhodes nearly held. He made it clear that he wanted it, and he said that he took counsel in considering his decision.
Cody said that he was coming for Reigns, but not at WrestleMania, as he revealed that one person he spoke with was someone Reigns knew really well. The Rock then arrived, and the crowd erupted.
The Rock hugged Cody Rhodes, and Cody left the ring. “The Great One” then stared down Reigns as the show came to an end.
As the show ended, WWE announced a press event about WrestleMania for February 8.
