The One Show’s Alex Jones shares ‘hellish’ update as she sends message to Ronan Keating

The One Show presenter Alex Jones has shared an update with her 341k Instagram followers that many of us can relate to. The 45-year-old attempted her first run in two years and told her fans it was a “hellish” experience.

Taking to her Instagram stories, Alex spoke to the camera during her cool down. Wearing a puffer jacket and earphones, the mum-of-three said: “Well there you are, I’ve just finished my first run of two years and I can confirm that it was hellish. I just don’t want to feel like jelly by the summer, you know? All the wobbly bits.”

Alex then revealed she’d forgotten some of her running essentials and nearly forgot to put trainers on as she headed out the door. She explained: “I don’t expect miracles but I want to tone but I forgot that you need a sports bra, of course you do.

“I also had boots on when I left the house, I only just managed to remember trainers. I need to get some more, pronto. I’m on the cooldown now and off to the café to get a coffee.”

Earlier this week, Alex was mocked by The One Show viewers and her co-host Jermain Jenas after she appeared to emulate Happy Valley villain James Norton’s style just days after he appeared in the studio. During Monday’s evening show, Alex was decked out in a cosy-but-smart electric blue jumper and mustard trousers.

But Jermaine teased the Welsh presenter about pinching former guest, James’s style. Norton, who portrays violent criminal Tommy Lee Royce on BBC hit Happy Valley, appeared on the green sofa last week in a similar outfit – complete with some giant neverending socks.
