The Masked Singer: Grandfather Clock sings Rock Around The Clock
The Masked Singer fans were inundated with more clues surrounding the identity of Grandfather Clock with one clue appearing to give away their identity as goalkeeper Peter Shilton. In their clue package, they explained they had “seen the Hand of God” which appeared to be a reference to Diego Maradona.
Football fans will know Maradona’s Hand of God came about during the 1986 World Cup game between Argentine and England.
Shilton came out of the goal to punch the ball clear of the net but Maradona, being eight inches short, reached it first with the outside of his left hand.
The ball bounced straight into the call and the referee claimed he did not see any infringement, allowing the goal.
Shilton got up close to Maradona’s hand in this instance, which heavily hinted he is hiding under Grandfather Clock’s mask.

Other clues suggested the celebrity under the mask is a goalkeeper as they explained they “intend to save my real identity for as long as possible”.
The added they are “often commentated on” and they have to “take time to practice”.
Judge Jonathan Ross picked up on the Hand of God clue suggesting it could be Shilton behind the mask.
Fans agreed with Ross, with one writing on Twitter: “Hand of god? Peter Shilton?#TheMaskedSinger.”

Other guesses included: “Is Grandfather Clock Vinnie Jones? He was in a Bulgarian reality show and the postcard was of Bulgaria #TheMaskedSinger.”
Another suggested: “The Clock is David Seaman #TheMaskedSingerUK #TheMaskedSinger.”
A third added: “Chris Kamara the grandfather clock #TheMaskedSinger.”

Fans are excited to find out who is under the Grandfather Clock mask with social media going wild over their performances.
Bookmakers Ladbrokes have now revealed the most likely names to be revealed for Grandfather Clock.
The bookies have this morning cut odds from 7/4 to just 5/4 on David James being revealed as the Grandfather Clock, with the same price being on offer for Gabrielle being Harlequin.
Chris Kamara has odds of 2/1 while Les Ferdinand’s odds have been cut to 5/1 and David Seaman’s odds are at 6/1.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Social media has gone wild with predictions over the last few weeks and with more clues soon expected to land, the odds suggest David James could soon be revealed as the voice behind the Grandfather Clock.”
Others rumoured to be hidden under the mask include Bradley Walsh and Peter Crouch.
Fans may not have too much longer to wait until they found out who is under the mask.
The Masked Singer airs Saturday on ITV at 7pm.
