‘That ejection is super soft’: Dirk Nowitzki, others react to Kristaps Porzingis ejection from Mavs-Clippers

Kristaps Porzingis’ first career playoff game did not go the way he or the Mavericks had hoped.
Two minutes into the third quarter, after the whistle was blown for a carry violation, Luka Doncic and Clippers forward Marcus Morris got tangled up and began exchanging… uh, pleasantries.
Porzingis tried to get between Morris and Doncic. This led to Morris shoving Porzingis and both players receiving technical fouls.
It was Porzingis’ second technical foul of the game. Earlier, he swung his arm in the air in disagreement after being called for a foul on a block he thought was clean.
So, Porzingis was ejected for the first time in his career, during his first career playoff game.
The broadcasters on ESPN didn’t agree with Porzingis’ ejection, and neither did Clippers coach Doc Rivers.
“I don’t like [Porzingis] being out,” he said on ESPN between quarters. “I hate that. But we’ve got to take advantage of it.”
It seemed almost no one agreed with the ejection, even Lakers forward LeBron James, and Mavericks legend Dirk Nowitzki took to Twitter to voice their opinion. You can find their reactions and several more below.
