Texans’ Derek Stingley Jr. was one of seven players inactive for Sunday’s game against the Cowboys.
ARLINGTON — The Texans make their first regular-season visit to AT&T Stadium since 2014 as they look to pick up their second win of the season at the Cowboys’ expense.
The Chronicle’s staff writers will provide updates and analysis during today’s game, which kicks off at noon.
How will offense manage?
Texans fullback Troy Hairston is inactive against the Cowboys with a rib injury he suffered last week against the Browns. It will be notable how offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton organizes his run-heavy packages in the absence of the team’s best run blocker out of the backfield. All four tight ends are active against the Cowboys. O.J. Howard and Teagan Quitoriano are the better blockers in the unit, and Quitoriano profiles as someone who could fulfill Hairston’s role if need be. Jordan Akins and Brevin Jordan are more hybrid-type pass-catchers, although both have been featured in the backfield while in Houston. — Brooks Kubena
