Televangelist Pat Robertson Predicts Trump Re-Election Sparks War, Assassination, ‘End Times’

Longtime televangelist Pat Robertson said President Donald Trump will “without question” be re-elected November 3, ushering in an era of assassination attempts, civil unrest, world war and ultimately the “End Times.”

The 700 Club host’s Monday monologue prophesied that Trump’s Election Day victory will prompt attacks against America from Democrats and Islamic nations. Robertson said such apocalyptic events have not occurred since Biblical times, but will be repeated in the months and years after Trump is sworn in for a second term. Robertson cited passages from the Bible’s Ezekiel 38, which describe how God personally defended Israel from the “hordes,” which the televangelist said will now be led by Iran and “Muslim communities” who seek to destroy Israel.

Robertson said he asked God over the weekend to “please tell me how it’s going to happen,” and he was told Trump will defeat Joe Biden “but that doesn’t mean you sit home and don’t vote.”

The 90-year-old former Southern Baptist minister said the attack on Israel will be repelled by God because Americans will be too preoccupied with Trump’s re-election. But this eschatological series of events will be followed by at least five years of “tremendous peace.”

“That’s what’s next: You will have Trump win, you will have civic discourse, you will have at least two attempts on the life of the president, and you just pray what’s going to happen in relation to that—but this country is going to be just torn apart,” Robertson said of the climactic coming months.

Robertson predicted that while Americans are fighting each other over their political and cultural differences, Iran and “Muslim communities on the border of Russia” will come together in an attempt to wipe Israel off the map. He included “North Yemen and North Sudan” Muslim populations among the people who will join Iran in attacking Israel, which he likened to the story in Ezekiel.

“What’s going to happen next?” Robertson asked, appearing to express exhaustion at the eschatological events to come. “After this invasion against Israel is put down by God, there is going to be a remarkable time of peace. We’ll have at least five years or more of extraordinary peace. Where the dictators of the earth are restrained, where those who wage war are not going to be allowed to do it and…the Christians, we defenders of Zion, will be teaching the word all over the world.”

Robertson’s Monday monologue was entitled, “Pat Robertson Prophecy: here’s who will win the election, then End Times prophecies will unfold.”

The televangelist said the Chinese, North Koreans and Russians are likely to use nuclear weapons or other means to attack the U.S. after Trump is re-elected. He also noted “the Turks have got their thing going,” as another potential threat against America.

“After Trump is sworn in, we’re going to see civic disobedience in America that will just be mind-boggling, the country will be torn apart. You talk about ‘Trump Derangement Syndrome,’ it’s going to be horrible because already without anything happening we’ve got trouble in the streets.”

Newsweek reached out to the 700 Club for additional remarks and context Tuesday afternoon.
