Taylor Swift’s fans can’t hide their stress at being waitlisted for Eras Tour tickets

Waitlisted #Waitlisted

It was the day of reckoning for Taylor Swift fans as thousands were left stressing and sweating as they awaited the lifechanging email to confirm whether they could be in with a chance of bagging themselves Taylor tickets.

Taylor’s Era tour is set to come across the pond in summer 2024, and following the show’s presale which gave select fans early access to tickets if they had preordered the singer’s latest album Midnights.

As a precaution to prevent Ticketmaster from crashing due to such high demand, fans were required to register their interest in the upcoming shows in June.

And Friday was the long-awaited day when fans found out whether they had received a unique access code to participate in the sales, or whether they have been waitlisted.

Any fans who have been waitlisted will sadly not be able to join the general sale queue but may be able to secure tickets closer to the time of the show.

It was a tense time for Swifties and they of course rushed to Twitter to share their fate and whether they’d landed tickets.

‘Raise your hand if you’ve been personally victimised by the Taylor Swift waitlist’, tweeted one gutted fan.

Another wrote: ‘Anyone else got placed on the waitlist for london? I’m so upset!!!!!!’

‘Waitlisted for tickets when people I know, who didn’t even like her music a year ago have gotten tickets. Screaming crying throwing up. Life is acc over’, one added.

‘just got my email for uk dates… as if i’ve been waiting anxiously for NINE DAYS TO BE ON THE F*****G WAITLIST. i hate you ticketmaster’ chimed a frustrated fan.

The selection process is said to be completely random and not based on customers previous order history.

Over in the US fans were delighted as they attended her sold-out show and erupted in  glee after the chart topping singer shocked fans with two more surprise songs during her Eras tour on Friday night.

The 33-year-old was performing at the Empower Field at the Mile High in Denver, Colorado to a sold out show of delighted fans.

Carnage: Meanwhile fans rushed  to Twitter to share their fate

Distraught: Fans who didn’t receive the access code were beside themselves as they shared their sadness and frustration on Twitter

Good news: Fan favourite Long Live has from Taylor’s latest re-recorded album Speak Now has been officially added to the setlist

And it seems the Swifties were left overjoyed when she played both Picture To Burn and Timeless for the first time this tour.

The former comes from Taylor Swift debut self-titled album and the latter from her newly re-released favourite Speak Now.

Fans went crazy on Twitter as the star performed the songs. One wrote: ‘PICTURE TO BURN AND TIMELESS … SHE IS LITERALLY SINGING MY FIRST EVER FAVORITE TAYLOR SWIFT SONG AND MY CURRENT FAVORITE TAYLOR SWIFT SONG … IN DENVER.’

Another commented: ‘Wow, Denver Night 1 really won. So jealous’ while a third chimed ‘I have literally collapsed and died.’

Taylor Swift began kicked off the Eras tour in earlier in March in Arizona and the tour is set to break records.

In her first run of shows in years the star takes fans through songs from her 10 albums in a three-hour set.

The catch is that once she plays a surprise song, fans are unlikely to get it again meaning the anticipation for each show is always at an all time high.

However the Denver show seemed to confirm the good news that fan favourite track Long Live off her album Speak Now is set to join the set list permanently.

The Love Story hitmaker re-released her third studio album over a week ago and  penned a heartfelt messages to her devout fanbase.

The multi-Grammy Award-winner said it felt nostalgic to revisit the songs she wrote while on the cusp of womanhood and how ‘proud’ she is to share tracks that didn’t make the original album.

‘It’s here. It’s yours, it’s mine, it’s ours. It’s an album I wrote alone about the whims, fantasies, heartaches, dramas and tragedies I lived out as a young woman between 18 and 20,’ captioned Swift on Instagram.

General sale tickets will go on sale in a staggered release this upcoming week and it could be carnage.

Last Tuesday Ticketmaster crashed again in Paris after 1M Taylor Swift fans raced to website to buy concert tickets in pre-sale.

Ticketmaster in France announced sales for the Paris date had been ‘put on hold’ after people had not been able to log into the website with their passwords.

MailOnline can reveal how concerts next year are already being resold for nearly £10,000, with standing tickets to see the Bad Blood singer perform at Wembley Stadium on Friday, June 21 next year being sold for as much as £9,580 – while seats in the stands are going for around £4,900.

Tickets for the Thursday night show are slightly cheaper – with the most expensive ticket currently £3,687 and the cheapest option at £307.

Swifties were left furious by the resale prices, with one fan raging: ‘Struggled for Wembley tickets today and this is the state of StubHub at the moment. Disgusting.’

Another thundered: ‘I paid £127 for two tickets in this block in the same row and they’re on StubHub for £780 per ticket. This is the problem.’

Some revealed how they had shopped for tickets while at work and others made themselves unavailable, including one fan who was sat poolside with a sign that read: ‘Leave me alone, I’m trying to get Taylor Swift tickets’ while another used multiple laptops and iPads to nab seats.
