Taylor Swift deeply moved by Steve Kerr’s emotional comments
Taylor Swift emphasized the message of Warriors coach Steve Kerr in the aftermath of a tragic shooting at an elementary school in Texas on Tuesday.
Kerr used his entire press conference ahead of Game 4 of the Western Conference finals to express his frustration with politicians in their lack of response to gun-related tragedies.
“Since we left shootaround, 14 children were killed 400 miles from here,” Kerr said. “And a teacher. In the last 10 days, we’ve had elderly Black people killed in a supermarket in Buffalo. We’ve had Asian churchgoers killed in Southern California. Now we have children murdered at school.
“When are we going to do something?”
Swift went on Twitter to express a similar sentiment.
“Filled with rage and grief, and so broken by the murders in Uvalde,” she wrote. “By Buffalo, Laguna Woods and so many others. By the ways in which we, as a nation, have become conditioned to unfathomable and unbearable heartbreak. Steve’s words ring so true and cut so deep.”
The message from both Swift and Kerr is clear. Something needs to change.
